The Author - Philip H. Page, Jr.
Philip H. Page, Jr. was born and raised in Richmond, VA. He attended the College of William and Mary where he obtained his BBA and, more importantly, met his wife, Robin. After graduation, they moved to Tulsa, OK and Philip began a career in IT focusing on software development. He had a very successful career in IT working for two Fortune 500 companies (Tandy and Microsoft) and a small start up software company before beginning a career in software consulting. During this time, he obtained a Masters Degree from Oklahoma State University with a specialization in Electronic Commerce.
While pursuing a career in IT, Philip also engaged in technical writing such as business plans and grant proposals. This reignited interest in his long time hobby of creative writing. After writing several articles for local publications he began to write devotionals focusing on daily methods of empowerment.
In 2003, Philip experienced a series of events that forever altered his life. These events began with a layoff and continued until he was redirected towards, what he believes, is his ultimate purpose and destiny in life. The events are written in Philip’s first nonfiction work, Getting Up Again – Surviving Unemployment and Pursuing Destiny.
Philip now lives in Hampton, VA with Robin F. Page, his wife and the love of his life for over 15 years and their two children Faith and Solomon. Philip and Robin are Elders at Living Waters Christian Fellowship where they serve under Bishop Steven W. Banks and Dr. Keira Banks.
